Банковская система на основе филиалов
Бан ковская система, в рамках которой небольшое число крупных коммерческих банков владеет разветвленной сетью отделений по всей стране. Такая система получила наиболее широкое распространение в Великобритании. Ее преимуществом является минимизация риска аккумуляции в одном региональном банке слишком больших финансовых обязательств. Именно это позволило таким банкам, как Барклайз и Нэтвест достичь нынешних масштабов деятельности. Во многих штатах США филиальная банковская система считается незаконной. Ср.: Unit banking.
